Amendoeira Golf Resort – 22 km, 30 mins

There are two on-site 18 hole championship courses: The Faldo Course and The O’Connor Course. The Faldo requires golfers to position themselves well through each hole to achieve a decent score. The O’Connor Jnr compliments the neighbouring Faldo and includes some small water features and vast lakes which can test even the most experienced golfer. Both are overlooked by the superb Amendoeira Resort clubhouse.

Palmares Golf Course – 47km, 45 mins

Robert Trent Jones Jr, the course creator, described it as a “warmer” Scotland! Designed to maximise the exemplary environment this 27-hole golf course has done just that. The golf course designer has crafted out Palmares Golf Course with three returning nine-hole loops adjacent to the Bay of Lagos, making it one of Europe’s must play destinations. You will enjoy a fantastic round here with a blend of links and inland golf.

Moragado – 36 km, 39 mins

Surrounded by beautfiul nature, Morgado Golf Course and Álamos Golf Course are located near the Monchique Mountains just 4 kilometres from Portimão. Both courses have 18 holes and are complemented by the Academia de Golf do Morgado, which offers unique practice conditions in Portugal.

Penina Hotel and Golf Resort – 36km, 35 mins

The championship Penina Golf Course, designed by Henry Cotton, is an 18-hole par 72 classic British parkland layout: a firm favourite for UK visitors. It has hosted the Portuguese Open on many occasions. Featuring a range of streams, ditches and water hazards throughout, its length and beautiful woodland areas can cause serious problems and is a real test. This course provides a challenge for even the most proficient of players.

The Old Course

A great test for any golfer is the Frank Pennink designed Old Course, the most renowned golf course in Vilamoura. A very attractive golf course with a variety of different holes, all laid out through a pine forest. The central location makes it easy to reach Vilamoura marina and Faro Airport. The fantastic scenery that this beautiful golf course has to offer is one of the main attractions, and the superb clubhouse, where you can enjoy a drink or lunch, overlooks the 9th and 18th holes.

Victoria Golf Course

Designed by Arnold Palmer, The Victoria Course is one of the top courses in Vilamoura. Offering players a fantastic championship layout that hosts the Portugal Masters on the European Tour every year. The course is an impressive 7,105-yards from the back tees and will test players’ driving ability as well as their short game. With numerous man-made water hazards, strategically located bunkers and 18-greens of completely different shapes and sizes, the Victoria Course makes for an interesting and enjoyable golf course.
