Take the blue & yellow train in Albufeira from the old town to ‘The Strip’ in Sao Joao. The train is free for under 5’s. The end stop is near the restaurant Open Sea, which serves good lunches and snacks. From here, walk to the old town along the beach and take in the stunning scenery. The walk will take about an hour.

Book a trip on a boat at Albufeira Marina and discover the caves, amazing rock formations and coastline of Armação de Pêra, Praia da Galé Castelo, Rocha, Marina and Benagil. You might even spot pods of dolphins swimming in their natural habitat!

Canoe down the estuary and lagoon of Ria de Alvor. Paddle at a relaxed pace and stop for lunch along the way. These canoe trips can be arranged via Outdoor-Tours.
