The River Lodge is available on a Bed & Breakfast basis and with many restaurants in the area most guests like to venture out.

However, if you prefer to stay at the lodge you can pre-order light lunches and dinners via us or our culinary partners. The River Lodge also arranges two themed evening dinners per week. These social evenings with guests and hosts are a lively affair and not to be missed! In addition, a small kitchenette is situated in the dining area which is convenient for preparing snacks or drinks. Large group bookings may request access to The River House kitchen.

Relax in style and hire a private chef to cook your daily meals. Menus include hot and cold canapés, traditional Portuguese Couvert, delicious starters and soups, succulent seafood and meat dishes and luxurious desserts. A good choice of vegetarian dishes and children’s meals is always on offer and food allergies and other special requirements can be catered for including gluten-free bread, pasta & cakes.

The daily chef service is available for a minimum of five days and Gourmet Partners can be used as much or a little as you like. Please ask us for rates and menus.

Did you know that you can pre-order a Welcome Hamper, request a Picnic Hamper or a packed lunch during your stay. Also, every Wednesday complimentary tea and cake is served on The Lodge Deck and once a week Graham and Cheryl host evening cocktails whilst the sun sets.
